The 2018 midterm election could determine the fate of the Endangered Species Act...PLEASE VOTE.
When speaking with a staffer at the Wisconsin State Capitol last March, I asked how I could assure that my elected official would truly hear and consider my thoughts on wildlife conservation issues. He answered as if he was letting me in on a little secret...
It can be quite confusing as to what is actually going on in Congress with endangered species right now. It's a barrage of attacks, so we have highlighted the actions you can take right now to help save the Endangered Species Act.
In response to today's release by Secretary Ryan Zinke's Department of Interior regarding draft regulations to weaken protections for America's most at-risk fish, plants and wildlife, Friends of the Wisconsin Wolf & Wildlife has put out a statement opposing this outrageous move.
This is a HUGE victory meaning that wolves in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin will not face hunting and trapping seasons in the near future!
Please contact Paul Ryan immediately and ask him to oppose ANY and ALL anti-wildlife riders in appropriations legislation: 855-742-9576
This year’s House and Senate bills currently include provisions that would strip away federal protections for wolves and several other species, choke off funding for listed species and block provisions for wolves among other species in peril.
This proposed bill would prohibit conservation wardens and federal law enforcement officers from enforcing wolf conservation laws, prevent funds to be used for wolf depredations, and stop all wolf population monitoring in Wisconsin. Please join us in opposition at the hearing on Wednesday, January 10th.
