Friends, it's time to vote from home on the DNR's Annual Wisconsin Conservation Congress Survey! Voting starts at 7:00 PM on MONDAY 4/12 and ends THURSDAY 4/15 at 7:00 PM. PLEASE vote and encourage your family and friends to as well. It only takes a few minutes!

The Economic Cost of a Great Lakes Wolves Delisting Rider

Imagine Wisconsin losing a potential 168,000 jobs and $17.9 billion in consumer spending. If the policy “rider” that aims to de-list Great Lakes wolves is included in Congress’s budget bill, Wisconsin could see a severe drop in these numbers. Wolves are vital to our economy in both direct and indirect ways.

Yet, these hunters fail to look at themselves, their attitudes and activities. Because their notions are mistaken, and not in the best interests of deer or the future of deer hunting.

2017 Gun Deer Season in Review

For the second year in a row, the deer harvest numbers have been down statewide but up in the Northern Forest Zone. This comes with a “record high” population of 930-950 wolves in Wisconsin.
