Please use this letter as a template to express your opposition to the bear hounding and baiting practices that are currently being allowed to take place with very little regulation on our public lands.
A number of environmental groups, including the Endangered Species Coalition, want to keep hunters who use packs of dogs out of public lands in Wisconsin, including the state's national forests.
Currently, the state of Wisconsin pays out $2,500 each time a hound is killed to people who allow their dogs to run loose on public lands with no oversight and no permit required.
