Today Animal Wellness Action, the Center for a Humane Economy, Friends of the Wisconsin Wolf and Wildlife, and Project Coyote sued the state of Wisconsin over its reckless and politically motivated decision to authorize a quota of 300 wolves for the November wolf hunt, on top of the 218 known killed in a February hunt.
In collaboration with other wildlife advocacy organizations and the Tribes of the Great Lakes, we have filed an amicus brief on behalf of the wolves in Wisconsin to restore the legal protections critical to their survival. Your written comments to the Wolf Harvest Committee must be submitted by noon on Friday, June 18th. This committee will decide a quota for the fall hunt to be presented to the Natural Resources Board in August.

We are inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting tonight to discuss Wolf Hunt details, progress we have seen and problems we still face in this fight. Please come with all your questions, feedback on your experience contacting your representatives, how you are practicing self-care during this time, or just to chat. We hope to see you all there!
