It can be quite confusing as to what is actually going on in Congress with endangered species right now. It's a barrage of attacks, so we have highlighted the actions you can take right now to help save the Endangered Species Act.
Contact Debbie Stabenow, head of the Agriculture Senate Committee and ask her for a clean Farm Bill with no anti-ESA riders.
This is a HUGE victory meaning that wolves in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin will not face hunting and trapping seasons in the near future!
Please contact Paul Ryan immediately and ask him to oppose ANY and ALL anti-wildlife riders in appropriations legislation: 855-742-9576
It is do or die time for Great Lakes wolves and the legal framework that protects them as we know it. Congress is considering multiple bills and amendments to legislation "riders" that would have devastating effects on wolves and the future of the Endangered Species Act itself. WE MUST ACT NOW...
This year’s House and Senate bills currently include provisions that would strip away federal protections for wolves and several other species, choke off funding for listed species and block provisions for wolves among other species in peril.
If the bill passes, plans are already set in place to open sport and trophy hunting seasons on Great Lakes wolves which will mean more hounding, trapping, snaring and high kill quotas.
